El-Rufai proposes Jail term for Parents who enrol their Children into Almajiri system
Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has proposed a two year jail term and a fine of N100,000 or N200,000 per child for parents who enrol their children into the Almajiri system. Islamic Clerics not exempted. Man slumps and dies after observing Eid prayers in Kano
A man reportedly slumped and died after observing eid-el-fitr prayer in Unguwar Sharada, Kano State. Reports have it that he came from an area called Kofar Dan Agundi to observe the prayer in Sharada. A source told Vanguard: “We don’t know his name, address, and his place of work among other details. “What we know is he is from Kofar Dan Agundi but he came to observe the prayer in Sharada. He collapsed after the eid prayer was observed. “His relation and Hisbah evacuated his corpse. They took him back to Kofar Dan Agundi where his burial rites were conducted.”

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has announced his plan to compensate victims of the 2019 general elections in Ijaw communities in Abonema, Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of the state as they recorded widespread destruction of lives and properties during the election. Lagos State Government to Close Marine Beach Bridge for Five Months
Lagos state government has announced its plan to partially close the Marine Beach Bridge located by Total Gas, inwards Apapa for five months which will take effect from Wednesday, May 27 till Wednesday, October 21. Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, has said over 1,000 Boko Haram insurgents have been killed in the last six weeks.
