Member of Boko Haram Sect voluntarily surrenders to Nigerian Army
A member of the dreaded Boko Haram sect, Yahaya Adamu aka Saad Karami, has voluntarily surrendered to the Nigerian Army. A statement released by the Defence Headquarters today May 29, says Yahaya voluntarily surrendered to troops of 242 Battalion in Monguno on May 24. He is said to have led the last attack on troops in Baga town and equally participated in attacks on Metele, Mairari, Bindiram, Kangarwa and Shetimari (Niger Republic). FG has no Power to seize States’ Funds – Ekweremadu
Senator representing Enugu west, Ike Ekweremadu on Friday, said the Federal Government has no power to seize funds belonging to State Governments. He said this reacting to the implementation of the recent order signed by President Muhammadu Buhari. Nasarawa CAN Chairman’s Abductors demand N20m Ransom
The gunmen who abducted the Chairman of the Nasarawa State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Bishop Joseph Masin, have contacted his family demanding a ransom of N20 million. Recall the clergyman was abducted by seven armed men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen at his place of residence at about 11pm on Tuesday, May 27 according to reports by his son, Peace Masin. Nigerian Man beaten to death in India, NIDCOM reacts.
Nigerian businessman, popularly called Sunny Mike, was beaten to death on Wednesday, May 27, at Palam , New Delhi for allegedly stealing from an Indian lady which prompted passers-by to beat him till he passed out.
