Court dismisses false information Suit against Dino Melaye
An Abuja High Court on Tuesday discharged Senator Dino Melaye of the charges filed against him by the Federal Government over alleged false information. Senator Melaye was alleged to have, sometime in April, 2017 deliberately given false information to the police to incriminate the-then Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor, Mr Edward Onoja, as the mastermind of an assassination attempt on him. 21-year-old stabs friend to death over Girlfriend in Bauchi
21-year-old Ishaku has been arrested by the Bauchi state police command for stabbing his friend, Zeloti John to death over a girl. Reports have it that the incident occurred in a drinking joint in Dass on Friday May 29 as an argument over who was the girls real boyfriend led Ishaku to stab Zeloti with a knife in three different parts of his body. Court orders release of Orji Kalu from Jail
The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered the release of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu from the Kuje Correctional facility in Abuja. Justice Mohammed Liman ordered Senator Kalu’s release on Tuesday morning after listening to an application filed by the former governor. Senator Kalu, a two-term former governor of Abia State, had urged the court to set aside his conviction on December 5, 2019, by Justice Mohammed Idris.
