PDP directs Members in the Senate to reject Buhari’s future Loan plans
The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has met and directed its members in the senate to object any future plan/request by President Muhammadu Buhari to apply for more loans for the country. This was made known by Prince Uche Secondus, the national chairman of PDP after a closed door meeting with its members on Wednesday. Minister of Women affairs attributes increased rape cases to lockdown
Minister of women affairs, Pauline Tallen has attributed the increased number in rape cases to the lockdown. Courts frees Teenager who killed 51 year old that tried to rape her.
A 15-year-old girl charged with murdering a 51-year-old man, Babatunde Ishola who tried to rape her has been freed by a Magistrate court in Yaba, Lagos. The police had filed a suit against the Senior Secondary School (SSS) 3 pupil, name withheld, following advice from the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP). Magistrate Philip Adebowale Ojo struck out the murder charge filed by the defendant on Wednesday. A video making rounds on social media has captured some airport officials trying to push a faulty airplane which they could have used a Tug to wheel out but due to lack of facilities they resulted to pushing the airplane instead. Police arrest two women for stealing a two-year-old boy in Imo
The Imo state police command have arrested two women;Victoria Joseph, 28, and Joy Ugorji,33, for allegedly stealing a two-year-old boy and attempting to sell him off to a prospective buyer. WTO accepts Okonjo-Iweala’s Nomination as DG despite Egypt’s protest
The World Trade Organisation (WTO) has accepted the nomination of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for the position of its director general, in spite of a protest by Egypt. The Egyptian government had nominated Mr. Abdel-Hamid Mamdouh for the same position whilst opposing Okonjo-Iweala’s Nomination saying the time was overdue for her nomination.
