Title conferred on Fani Kayode is irrevocable – Shinkafi Emirate Council
The Shinkafi Emirate Council has stated that the “Sadaukin Shinkafi” title conferred on former Minister of Aviation Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, by the Emir Of Shinkafi, Alhaji Muhammad Makwash is irrevocable and irreversible. The conferment of the title on the former minister led to a controversy and resignation of five title holders in the Shinkafi Emirate Council of Zamfara State. Ekiti State Attorney-General, Fapohunda tests positive for Covid-19
Commissioner for justice and Attorney-General of Ekiti State, Wale Fapohunda has tested positive for Coronavirus. He stated this in a tweet he shared via his twitter handle on Sunday as he has gone into self isolation. His tweet: “The result of my second covid-19 test came out positive today. In line with the established protocols, I have commenced a period of self-isolation. In my absence, all state legal matters should be referred to the Solicitor-General of the State.”

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, has linked some members of the National Assembly to some contracts awarded by the Niger Delta Development Commission. The list was part of a letter the Minister sent to the National Assembly and also copied the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami. One-year rent agreements will get 0.78% stamp duty – FIRS
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has made a clarification on its plan to impose astamp duty charge on tenancy. FIRS executive chairman, Muhammad Nami who spoke at a webinar organised by OTISVIP, said the six percent stamp duty charge on tenancy previously announced will only apply to tenancy and lease agreements that are above 21 years. According to him, tenancy and lease agreements less than seven years would carry 0.78 percent stamp duty while agreements between seven and 21 years will carry a three percent charge. Minister of communication and digital economy, Isa Pantami has reacted to the recent increase in licensing fee by the Nigerian postal service, NIPOST.
