Title conferred on Fani Kayode is irrevocable – Shinkafi Emirate Council
The Shinkafi Emirate Council has stated that the “Sadaukin Shinkafi” title conferred on former Minister of Aviation Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, by the Emir Of Shinkafi, Alhaji Muhammad Makwash is irrevocable and irreversible. The conferment of the title on the former minister led to a controversy and resignation of five title holders in the Shinkafi Emirate Council of Zamfara State. Commissioner for justice and Attorney-General of Ekiti State, Wale Fapohunda has tested positive for Coronavirus. One-year rent agreements will get 0.78% stamp duty – FIRS
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has made a clarification on its plan to impose astamp duty charge on tenancy. FIRS executive chairman, Muhammad Nami who spoke at a webinar organised by OTISVIP, said the six percent stamp duty charge on tenancy previously announced will only apply to tenancy and lease agreements that are above 21 years. According to him, tenancy and lease agreements less than seven years would carry 0.78 percent stamp duty while agreements between seven and 21 years will carry a three percent charge.
