FG rescues 30 Nigerian ladies stranded in Lebanon
The Nigerian Government has rescued about 30 Nigerian ladies stranded in Lebanon. The ladies were seen in a viral video during the weekend begging for assistance from the Nigerian Government to return home. However in a statement from Gabriel Odu, spokesperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission NIDCOM, yesterday said the ladies are currently in a more conducive apartment and would be repatriated between August 12 and 16. ”They will be part of One Hundred and Fifty others trafficked and stranded in Lebanon to be evacuated back to Nigeria. Two Brothers arrested for raping their Cousin in Imo State

Ibori denies receiving any contract from NDDC
Former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori has denied ever receiving any contract from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) as alleged by Akpabio. Akpabio had named Ibori as one of those who benefitted from the contract racketeering in NDDC.
