IPOB declares sit-at-home for October 1
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has declared October 1, 2020, as sit-at-home across the Southeast. The proscribed group’s media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful said its members would join its Yoruba counterparts agitating for Oduduwa Republic in public protests to mark the day. He also alleged that there is credible intelligence of terrorist groups’ planning to “slaughter” people from South-East who intend to celebrate Independence Day. Man, 60, rapes neighbor’s 5-year-old daughter in Bauchi
The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested one Muhammed Dahiru, a 60-year-old who allegedly defiled his neighbour’s 5-year-old daughter in Nahuta villa, Toro Local Government Area of the state. Man sells his set of twins for N150,000
The police in Anambra state have arrested a 31-year-old man, Chijioke Chukwulota, pictured above, for selling his set of twins born to him by his ex-girlfriend. Army commander killed in Boko Haram ambush laid to rest. Borno gov gifts his widow N20m (photos)
The remains of late Col. Dahiru Chiroma Bako who was killed in an ambush by Boko Haram members in Damboa on Sunday, September 20, has been laid to rest. Colonel DC Bako and some soldiers were traveling when their vehicle was ambushed near Damboa, about 85 kilometres from Maiduguri, the state capital. He died at the military hospital in Borno state. Mele Kyari, Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has alleged that members of a cabal were enriching themselves with susbidy payments before it was removed by the federal government.
