Minister of communication and digital economy, Isa Pantami has reacted to the recent increase in licensing fee by the Nigerian postal service, NIPOST. Nigerians took to Twitter to complain about the recent increase in the licensing fees for courier companies. Kwara State Governor, Abdulrazaq loses Father at 93.
Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has lost his father, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Folorunsho Abdulrazaq, SAN. This was according to a statement by Dr Alimi Abdulrazaq on Saturday on behalf of the family. Alhaji Folorunsho died in Abuja at the early hours of Saturday. He died aged 93. He was the first Northern Nigerian lawyer, Mutawali of Ilorin and Tafida of Zazzau (Zaria). He also served as Nigeria’s ambassador to Ivory Coast, among others. He is survived by his 90-year-old wife, Hajia Raliat Abdulrazaq, illustrious children, including Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and grandchildren.

WASSCE: Private Schools in Lagos State to resume August 3.

Former Tanzanian President, Mkapa dies at 81
The Tanzanian Government has announced the death of their former president, Benjamin Nkapa who died at 81 in a Dar el Salaam hospital. The cause of his death was not revealed. “I’m saddened by the death of the third president of Tanzania and that is a big loss for us as a country. Chizuroke Egodi Onuorah, an Oyo state corps member who graduated from Unizik has died after she was allegedly poisoned by a man she turned down. I raped 8-year-old Girl because I love her – 70 year old Man confesses
70-year-old Mohammed Sani Umar, accused of raping an eight-year-old girl, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison. He had raped the 8-year-old by luring her with N80 in the Chanchaga area of Niger State. The suspect, while being tried before a Chief Magistrate Court on Thursday, confessed to raping the little girl twice because he loved her. Senior Magistrate Safuratu Abdulkareem of Magistrate Court III, Minna, delivering the judgement on thursday found Umar guilty of the offence and so sentenced him to 30 years in prison.
