Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, has assured residents of Oyo State that the Federal Government is working to secure the release of school children and teachers abducted in Ogbomoso.
The victims were kidnapped after gunmen attacked LA Primary School and Community Grammar School in Ahoro-Esinele on Friday.
Following the incident, President Tinubu dispatched a high-powered delegation, including Gbajabiamila and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, to the affected community.
Speaking during the visit, Gbajabiamila said the President is deeply concerned about the rising cases of kidnapping and is committed to ensuring the safe return of the victims.
According to Gbajabiamila: “Mr President is deeply troubled by this incident. Whatever it takes, our children and teachers will be brought back home safely.
“He has issued all necessary directives and is providing every support required by our security agencies to achieve that objective.
“Your pain and anxiety are understood. By the grace of God, your children will return safely to your arms.“
