“PDP Will Produce the Next President” — Makinde Declares Ahead of 2027

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will return to power and produce Nigeria’s next president in 2027.

Speaking at a National Executive Committee meeting of his faction in Abuja, Makinde said the party remains strong despite internal disputes.

“We should write it down… this gathering will produce the next President,” he said.

His remarks come amid ongoing leadership tensions within the PDP, with divisions between his camp and that of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
