“If Obi Leaves ADC, He’s Working for Tinubu” — Kenneth Okonkwo
Veteran actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo has said any move by Peter Obi to exit the African Democratic Congress (ADC) would suggest he is working for President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking on Channels Television, Okonkwo argued that any aspirant who leaves the party amid the race for its presidential ticket should be viewed with suspicion.
“If anyone leaves, it means they are secretly working for Tinubu,” he said.
Obi remains one of the leading contenders for the ADC ticket alongside figures like Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi
“If he[Obi] leaves, will he now be a mobile squadron? Anybody, any presidential aspirant in ADC, seeing what everybody is going through in ADC, that leaves ADC for another party is a mobile squatter. That’s one” Okonkwo said.
“Then two, he is working for Tinubu. Because if all the coalition leaders are facing through all this crisis, even with unity, then what do you think one person can do going out?
“Anybody that goes out of the coalition is compromised and is working for Tinubu, whoever that person is.”
