“Fighting for Nnamdi Kanu’s freedom denied me many benefits” — Aguocha
Rep member Obi Aguocha has said he is facing personal and political setbacks due to his persistent calls for the release of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.
He revealed that his stance has led to negative profiling but insisted he has no regrets.
“I know what I have lost… but I don’t regret it,” he said.
Aguocha also criticised some Igbo leaders for avoiding the issue and urged greater unity, citing the coordinated efforts that secured Sunday Igboho’s release.
He, however, commended Abia State Governor Alex Otti for efforts to mobilise support, while also taking a swipe at Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu ahead of the 2027 elections.
