Peter Obi: “None of Them Can Try It” — Davido Challenges Politicians to Explain Their Wealth
Afrobeats star Davido has challenged Nigerian politicians to publicly explain how they made their money, following comments by former Anambra State governor Peter Obi about his business background.
The singer reacted to a clip shared by journalist Rufai Oseni, in which Obi discussed his businesses, investments and financial history before entering politics.
Rufai asked: “Can every Nigerian politician tell us how they made their money like this?”
Davido responded: “None of them can try it,” suggesting that many politicians may be unwilling to publicly account for their wealth.
Obi has maintained that he built his wealth before entering politics and said his involvement in politics has made him financially poorer, although he does not regret serving in public office.
