Popular digital creator Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, known as Jarvis, has debunked rumors that she shaved her head for a traditional marital rite ahead of her wedding to fellow TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, aka Peller. Clarifying the speculation in a trending video, Jarvis explained, โI shaved my hair because I wanted my hair installation to be perfect.โ She noted that her hairstylist recommended the haircut due to her natural hair texture, adding, โThat is what my hairstylist recommended because I have stubborn hair.โ
The couple recently concluded their highly publicized wedding celebrations with an intimate white wedding in Lagos on Saturday, which was streamed live on Twitch and YouTube. This followed their court wedding on July 29, a traditional wedding in Lekki on August 1, and a proposal in Ghana in June. Their journey to marriage has captured widespread attention, accompanied by high-value gifts including a N400m mansion in Abuja, cash, and a plot of land.
The decision to keep the white wedding exclusiveโlimiting attendance to between 80 and 100 guests and barring bloggersโcame after challenges at their traditional ceremony. Peller had expressed frustration that some attendees purchased aso-ebi merely to gain access and create content rather than celebrate. Despite controversies surrounding the couple’s age and readiness, Peller and Jarvis successfully navigated their wedding plans to celebrate their union.
