“Tinubu Retained Shettima Because He Trusts His Loyalty and Competence” — APC Chieftain

The North-West Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Garba Muhammad, has said President Bola Tinubu’s decision to retain Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2027 election is a reflection of the confidence he has in his deputy.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Muhammad described Shettima as a loyal and dependable partner whose commitment to national service has earned him the trust of both the President and many Nigerians.

“This action by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a demonstration of his trust and confidence in the Vice President,” he said.

The APC chieftain praised Shettima’s performance in office, noting that his loyalty and dedication have contributed to the administration’s efforts since assuming power.

Muhammad also described the re-nomination as a strategic political move that would strengthen the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general election.

According to him, Tinubu’s decision demonstrates political foresight and reinforces the APC’s position as a formidable force ahead of the next polls.

He urged party members and Nigerians to continue supporting the administration as it pursues its development agenda and policy reforms.
