“There Is No Pathway for Tinubu to emerge victorious in 2027” — Rhodes-Vivour
ADC chieftain and former Lagos governorship candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has said President Bola Tinubu has no realistic chance of re-election in 2027.
Speaking on Politics Today, he cited what he described as credible polling data showing declining support, especially in the North.
“There is no pathway for the president to emerge victorious,” he said.
“When you look at the North that gave him 62 per cent of his votes, you see the tsunami that is happening.”
He also criticised the current administration, describing it as exclusionary.
“It is a city boys government… not even a proper South-West government,” he added.
Rhodes-Vivour further alleged that internal crises within opposition parties, including the ADC, are being fuelled to weaken rivals.
“The best pathway is to create an environment where he is the only candidate… but he is not going to succeed,” he said.
His comments come amid ongoing tensions between the ADC and INEC over leadership disputes and growing opposition protests.
