“AI Will Soon Retire Producers” — DJ Neptune Warns
Nigerian DJ and producer DJ Neptune has predicted that artificial intelligence could soon replace music producers.
Reacting to a similar claim by media personality N6, he shared how he once admired a song and considered signing the “artiste,” only to later discover it was AI-generated.
His comments come as AI continues to gain ground in music production, even as debates grow over authenticity and the role of human creativity in the industry.
N6 wrote via X, “AI is Quietly about to retire the entire music production and mastering Industry. I have seen scary tinz tonight. God help all of us in this ecosystem.”
Reacting, DJ Neptune said, “I dey tell you. Someone sent me a record to listen to some days ago and give me my feedback.
“After listening, I told the guy to sign the artist cos what I heard was out of this world. That’s how my guy said na AI work. E shook me o.”
