Otti Offers Jobs, Scholarships to Top ABSU Graduates
Abia State Governor Alex Otti has approved automatic employment for first-class graduates of Abia State University, Uturu, from its 30th to 32nd combined convocation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Otti directed that all first-class graduates, as well as students with a CGPA of 4.25 and above, be employed as Graduate Assistants after completing their NYSC.
He also announced postgraduate scholarships—covering Master’s to PhD levels—for the 69 first-class graduates, provided they accept lecturing roles.
In addition, the governor approved the employment of 100 outstanding graduates into the state civil service.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Ndukwe Okeudo, commended the governor for restoring electricity to the university after over a decade and for other developmental efforts.
