
Turkish Officials Found Tinubu’s Stumble news Silly — Abike Dabiri-Erewa
Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has said Turkish officials were surprised that President Bola Tinubu’s brief stumble during his official visit to Türkiye became a major news story in Nigeria.
Dabiri-Erewa made the comment on Wednesday, January 28, while reacting to an X post by Oguntoye Opeyemi, also known as Equityoyo, who criticised Nigerian media for amplifying the incident.
She noted that the stumble was not reported by Turkish media, describing the level of attention it received in Nigeria as unnecessary and exaggerated.
