I will make you a scapegoat if you block our gates – Wike warns FCTA workers

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has warned FCTA workers against blocking office gates or refusing to resume work, saying violators will face the law.

Speaking on Tuesday, Wike vowed to apply the “big stick” on workers who fail to return to duty. His warning follows a National Industrial Court order directing striking workers to suspend their action.

Despite the ruling, some workers insisted they would stay at home rather than resume work.
He said, “When man disobeys the law, are there no consequences for disobeying the law? Must we allow people flagrantly disobey the law?

“I’m giving them this window because I’m still in the office today, from tomorrow if you don’t come to work, we are going to apply the big stick.

“And from tomorrow if we see anybody who says he wants to block the gate, we will make you a scapegoat. The law must take its place
