‘Only few Nigerian artists are not cultists’ – Naira Marley claims
Singer and rapper Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has voiced concern about the growing influence of cultism within Nigeria’s music industry.
Reacting to the trend, Marley claimed that only a few artistes, including himself, have not joined a cult. He also mocked those who join cult groups for power or protection, noting that even the people who pressured them into it still rely on police escorts for security.
Naira Marley has previously denied being a cultist, stating that he was once threatened by cult members for refusing to join.
“We no reach 5 weh never join cult for this [music] industry. Person weh put u for cult self dey carry police escort up and down.”
