“No Foreign Power Will Save Us” — Shehu Sani Urges Nigerians to Resist Insecurity
Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has called on Nigerians to unite and actively resist terrorists, bandits, and other criminals threatening lives across the country.
Sani made the statement on Thursday in Abuja during the public presentation of his books, The Councillor and The Perilous Path to Europe. He said Nigerians should not expect any foreign country to solve Nigeria’s security problems, stressing that the solution must come from within.
According to him, if citizens are united, enlightened, and supported by the government and security agencies, they can overcome groups that believe they can dominate communities through violence.
He also noted that Nigeria has helped restore peace in other countries in the past, adding that even powerful nations like the United States still struggle with their own security challenges.
