Super Eagles to Earn $5,000 Per Goal at AFCON 2025 as NFF Unveils Incentives
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will receive a $5,000 bonus for every goal scored at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations,
According to SCORENigeria, the incentive is part of the Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) strategy to boost players’ morale at the tournament. The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Sports.
A similar incentive scheme was earlier introduced during the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers. Under that arrangement, Eric Chelle’s team earned $10,000 for their recent victory over Tanzania’s Taifa Stars on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles will be aiming to add to their earnings when they face Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles in their Group C encounter, scheduled to kick off at 9pm Nigerian time.
