President Tinubu swears in Gen. Musa as Defence Minister

President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, December 4, officially swore in former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa (rtd), as Nigeria’s new Minister of Defence.

The brief ceremony took place at the Presidential Villa, barely 24 hours after the Senate screened and confirmed his nomination.

Musa’s appointment followed the resignation of Mohammed Badaru, who stepped down from the position on health grounds. Tinubu had forwarded Musa’s name to the Senate earlier in the week for confirmation.
