Akwa Ibom state, Governor Umo Eno finally defects to APC
Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The defection took place on Friday in Uyo, following Eno’s earlier declaration at a town hall meeting in Ikot Abasi where he stated it was time to align the state with the APC-led federal government. He said the move came after wide consultations.
Several APC governors, including Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, were present to welcome him into the party.
