VDM released from EFCC custody

VDM had been detained since his arrest in Abuja on Friday, a development that sparked nationwide protests, with many Nigerian youths demanding his unconditional release.

The EFCC, in a statement on Tuesday, explained that his arrest was based on multiple petitions filed against him, adding that he had ignored several invitations to appear before the commission.

In an update on his official Facebook page on Wednesday evening, an activist cum politician, Omoyele Sowore, said “VDM Released”!
