British monarch King Charles III has shared his admiration for Nigerian singer Davido, revealing that his music sparked his interest in Pidgin English.
King Charles expressed a keen desire to speak Pidgin during his next visit to Nigeria.
He made this revelation on the newly premiered Apple Music show, The King’s Music Room, on Monday, where he showcased his diverse taste in music and named Davido’s Kante, featuring Fave, as one of his favorite songs.
”Davido has made me love Pidgin language. I would like to speak it the next time I visit Nigeria. Thanks to Afrobeats, it’s becoming more popular around the world,” Charles III stated.
