Justice Binta Nyako’s son and husband are facing corruption charges and she’s been told that if she convicts me, they will be let off – IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu lashes in court
IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu has accused Justice Binta Nyako of bias in his trial, alleging that she is under pressure to convict him in exchange for leniency in corruption charges against her husband and son.
Speaking in court, Kanu criticized the Nigerian judiciary, stating, “Poor knowledge of the law is killing Nigeria.” He argued that his push for self-rule is not a crime and cited legal rulings that he believes invalidate his trial.
Kanu also referenced Supreme Court rules, claiming Justice Nyako’s handling of the case shows bias and calling for her recusal. Additionally, he reiterated his claim that the Nigerian government kidnapped him from Kenya, calling his rendition a violation of international law and his human rights.
