15-Year-Old Nigerian Boy, David Akiogbe, gets 1580 SAT score
A 15-year-old Nigerian prodigy, David Akiogbe, has made headlines with an outstanding SAT score of 1580 out of 1600. Demonstrating exceptional brilliance, David earned a perfect 800 in Mathematics and an impressive 780 in Reading and Writing.
In an interview, David attributed his success to disciplined preparation and strategic study methods.
“I began preparing for the SAT two years ago, relying entirely on free digital resources. I would wake up at 4 a.m. to take practice tests,” he shared. “The SAT is more about strategy than pure intelligence. I isolated different methods for various question types to maximize my score. My biggest mentor is my dad.”
David revealed that his ambition is to study Mechanical Engineering at the university level. He encouraged others to take advantage of freely available resources, emphasizing, “You don’t need much to succeed. Everything you need to learn is online and free to anyone with a phone and internet connection.”
David’s remarkable achievement has been officially recognized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), one of the world’s leading universities.
