VDM addresses NASS as Bobrisky sends lawyer representative
Social commentator, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, revealed how he obtained a controversial phone recording of crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky. He made this disclosure while appearing before a House of Representatives panel investigating bribery allegations involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
During the investigation, EFCC and NCoS personnel were also present. VeryDarkMan had initially refused to address the committee in Bobrisky’s absence, as Bobrisky sent a lawyer instead. However, lawmakers compelled him to speak about the audio recording, which he claimed came from someone Bobrisky owed money.
In a viral video, VeryDarkMan alleged that Bobrisky paid N15 million to have money laundering charges dropped and spent additional money to secure better treatment while serving a six-month prison sentence. Despite pressure from the committee, VeryDarkMan insisted that his lawyer would speak on his behalf.
