”Make una pity us” -Nigerians cry out over increase in price of Nigerian Passport
Nigerians have expressed their reactions on social media following the announcement of an increase in passport fees by the Nigeria Immigration Service on August 21.
The updated prices include a 32-page passport booklet with a five-year validity rising from N35,000 to N50,000, and a 64-page booklet with a ten-year validity increasing from N70,000 to N100,000. The statement noted that fees for passports remain unchanged for those in the diaspora.
