His resignation from the Labour Party didn’t come as a surprise, he is a mole – Labour Party reacts to Kenneth Okonkwo’s exit
The Labour Party (LP) has labeled Kenneth Okonkwo a mole, expressing that his departure from the party was not surprising.
The party criticized Okonkwo’s recent attacks on its 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, calling them unfortunate and attention-seeking.
Okonkwo, a prominent LP member, had announced his loss of confidence in Obi’s ability to build an election-winning party.
The actor-turned-politician argued that Obi lacks the capacity to secure a mandate even if people vote for him. He mentioned that recent events within the party prompted his decision to seek a new direction in his political career.
In response, LP’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, stated that Okonkwo’s resignation was anticipated and dismissed his criticism of Obi as unfortunate and attention-seeking.
“Kenneth Okonkwo’s resignation from the Labour Party didn’t come to us as a surprise. We also think that his attack on the party’s leader, Peter Obi, is rather unfortunate
“However, we will continue not to dignify him with any response, as we understand that his attention-craving attitude knows no bounds,” he said.
