It gets easier if you Japa correctly and also meet the right people – Helen Paul advises

Comedienne Helen Paul has advised those planning to relocate to do so properly and to connect with the “right people,” as it makes the transition easier.

In an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, Helen shared her experience of relocating from Nigeria to the U.S. with her family five years ago.

She explained that her journey began after completing her PhD, but initially faced visa denial because she hadn’t paid taxes for previous work done while visiting the U.S.

This issue was resolved when a lawyer hired by her godfather discovered her PhD. Helen emphasized the importance of making the right connections, as living abroad can be challenging.

She noted that while some people may want you to endure the same obstacles they faced, meeting the right people can lighten the burden.

Helen also revealed that she bought a house in the U.S. two years after arriving, thanks to the help of a Nigerian woman she met.

Additionally, she advised those planning to relocate to take their education in Nigeria seriously, as Nigerian certificates can help secure jobs abroad.
