I thought about committing suicide when I found out I had stunted growth – Chinedu Ikedieze

Nollywood Actor, Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, has shared his early life struggles stemming from being diagnosed with stunted growth. The actor revealed that he experienced considerable challenges during his upbringing when he overheard the doctor discussing his condition with his mother.

The constant bullying from his peers due to his abnormal growth also led him to contemplate ending his life. Ikedieze opened up about these experiences in a recent conversation with the renowned media personality, Chude Jideonwo

“Something happened when I was nine years and six months old. I remember the doctor saying to my mum; ‘Madam, what he has is stunted growth, he said

“That was when I started hearing the words, stunted and retarded growth. I cried several times because I was bullied in school and even at home because I wasn’t growing properly. It got bad, there were times I thought of ending it all. Thank God I no grow for Lagos because Third Mainland Bridge no far o [laughs].”
