If you want a wife that can cook like your mother marry your mum – Nigerian pastor, Yemi Davids tells men
Yemi Davids, a clergyman based in Lagos, shared a thought-provoking message during a recent sermon in his church. He advised individuals who tend to compare their spouses to their parents to seriously consider marrying their parents instead of seeking a partner.
In his address, he emphasized that it is unrealistic to expect a spouse to replicate the qualities or attributes of one’s parents. He used the analogy of cooking skills, stating, “If you want someone that can cook like your mum, marry your mum.” Additionally, he acknowledged that nobody is perfect, and relationships are a journey of growth and development.
Directing his words to women, he addressed the issue of pressuring husbands to provide a lifestyle similar to what their parents offered. He playfully imitated the scenario where women inquire about acquiring a second car or upgrading household appliances. He cautioned against such demands, suggesting that perhaps their fathers’ financial situations were not as transparent as assumed.
In a reassuring tone, he reminded his congregation to exercise patience and avoid pressuring their partners, suggesting that their parents’ circumstances might have been different. His sermon aimed to encourage understanding and realistic expectations within relationships.
that is nonsense you are saying……
