Fuel hike: We need to be more sensitive – Soludo tells Governors to reduce convoys
Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has encouraged fellow governors to reduce the size of their convoys and show sensitivity towards the challenges faced by Nigerians due to the subsidy removal.
He emphasized that it would be insensitive for governors to have extensive convoys while their citizens are enduring hardship. Soludo made this appeal during a press briefing after the National Economic Council, NEC, meeting held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He emphasized the need for state governors to make sacrifices for the well-being of their people
He said;“That we mustn’t live, even the cost of running the state, the way we even live, someone gave an example of a state governor going with 20-something vehicles in a convoy and all these have to be fuelled, and so on and so forth.
“Hey gentlemen, we would need to be sensitive to the times; we need to live within the average of the people that we’re governing, and so on and so forth, and knock off the waste and the irrelevancies, so to speak.
that is true……
