Nigeria is in good hands. We didn’t know your plans for the country, we wouldn’t have contested against you at the primaries – Akpabio tells Tinubu

Senate President Godswill Akpabio expressed remorse over his decision to participate in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election, competing against President Bola Tinubu.

Akpabio admitted that if he had been aware of the president’s visionary plans for Nigeria, he would not have contested against him. During his speech in Lagos State, Akpabio acknowledged the state’s exemplary development, serving as a model for other states in the nation.

He said; “With what the president has done in Lagos, we are assured that Nigeria is in safe hands.

“We didn’t know this was the plan you had for the country; we wouldn’t have contested with you at the party primaries.

“These few decisions you have taken have served as a catalyst for the country’s development.”
