If Tinubu offers me an appointment, the first thing I will do is ask my wife and friends what they think about it – Wike
Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of Rivers State, has revealed that his wife and friends will play a significant role in determining whether he should accept any appointment offered to him by President Bola Tinubu.
In an interview with BBC Pidgin, Wike mentioned that he had already served his state for eight years and expressed his desire for some rest. Although he clarified that Tinubu has not presented him with any appointment, he stated that he does not consider himself too important to serve the nation if the opportunity arises.
“I’m going to rest; I have worked for eight years, so I’m going to rest. Tinubu has not informed me about getting an appointment; I’m not too big to serve my country, but he has never told me that he would give me an appointment.
“If he asks me, the first thing I will do is ask my wife and friends what they think about it. I will also assess myself if I’m prepared. I will never do what I’m not ready for, he said
that is good for you….
