Bashir El-Rufai, the son of former Kaduna state Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has engaged in a dispute with former Senator Shehu Sani, who accused his father of not embezzling funds from the state government.

Sani had challenged El-Rufai to publicly disclose his asset declaration forms from 2015 and 2023 to substantiate his claim.

In response, Bashir advised Sani to limit his Twitter exchange to individuals who are his “equals” and refrain from involving his father, who holds a senior position compared to Sani.
