BREAKING: Finance minister suspends accountant-general indefinitely over N80bn fraud

Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris has been suspended indefinitely by the Minister of Finance, budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, on Wednesday.

This is coming after he was arrested for fraud worth N80 billion by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

His arrest was confirmed by EFCC’s spokesman, Wilson Uwajaren on Monday.

He was arrested after he failed to honour invitations by the EFCC.
