Abba Kyari’s wife slumps as court denies him bail

Ramatu Kyari, the wife of the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Abba Kyari, on Monday, slumped at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The incident happened just after her husband was denied bail following charges of drug trafficking against him and six others

The trial was then adjourned till March 26.

The middle-aged woman, wearing a black Hijab, fainted while armed operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, were leading Kyari and the others away from the court premises.

She was carried and rushed into one of the offices on the third floor of the court by some officials of the NDLEA and lawyers for treatment to be administered to her.
