We cant force Nigerians to take COVID19 vaccine – Sultan tells FG
The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has said the Federal government cannot force Nigerians to take the COVID19 vaccine.
Speaking during the sensitisation programme on COVID-19 vaccine for Muslim Scholars and Imams in Nigeria on Wednesday, January 27, The monarch noted that what the Federal government needs to do is sensitize the public on the importance of taking the vaccine and not force people to take it.
He said;
“I believe that we cannot force people to take vaccine. There are myths, people talk of conspiracy theories. I am not giving an answer to anything. If the vaccine is meant to kill us, will anybody wait for this COVID-19 vaccines before killing us? If anybody wants to kill us, there are millions and one ways to kill us. But I am not giving an answer to anything that the COVID-19 vaccine is this or that. The vaccines are free, we are not paying for the vaccine, it is your choice to take the vaccine.”
that will be true cuz the people has lost total faith in this administration….
You are very correct someone who is need infected Should not be force to take the vaccine
It is very important we don’t, bcis the cost only set will be too much let those that are infected take the vaccine.
My opinion though
Thank you the sultan of sokoto, federal government needs to sensitise people not by forcing them to take the vaccine.
Inform them that they can’t force taking COVID-19 on us but orientate us in order to take it.
It is obvious we can’t
God help us
Let the vaccine arrive first let’s see how serious they are in administering the vaccines. For now they are doing politics with the vaccine. No one will force anyone to get innoculated but by the time it becomes part of requirements to travel we will be forced to do it. It happened in the time of yellow fever and until it becomes compulsory that you must have a certificate that clears you from having yellow, people then see the importance of doing it. I all care is let the vaccine arrive and made available to those willing to get inoculated
