There will be no mass disconnection of telephone subscribers over National Identity Numbers (NIN) registration – NCC
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has stated that there will be no mass disconnection of telephone subscribers over National Identity Numbers (NIN) registration.
The agency which said the current linkage of SIM registration records with the NIN was aimed at enhancing general safety and helping the government to plan for national development, said the clarification became necessary as many subscribers had become jittery that their lines might be disconnected over NIN registration.
NCC’s Director of Public Affairs, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde, advised the public to ignore speculations of mass disconnection being circulated in some sections of the media and also added that the publications “are based on the erroneous assumption that for every network or SIM connection, there is one unique human subscriber”.
That is good news….
I have wondering how would you disconnect 80% of people using telephone subscribers over the issue of national identification number which those in charge are not ready to attend to the people.
Is Better not to do because of the stress you want to inflict on us will be unbearable. Even the pain we are passing through now is becoming unbearable not to talk of disconnection of the phone.
The data you have been collating since what have you done with? You leaders are just there without knowing what next.
They came to debunk this news, so let’s watch them first before we comment.
