Insecurity: Buhari should surprise Nigerians and change Service Chiefs – Ejiofor
Former Director-General of the Department of State Security, Mike Ejiofor, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to change the service chiefs.
Speaking on Channels Television on Monday, the former DSS boss noted that changing the service chiefs, their tactics, equipments and approaches would lead to progress in the fight against insecurity.
He said, “I expect that Mr President should take Nigerians by surprise, change the service chiefs; and Nigerians, their attitude to security agencies, should change too.
“I think by the change of tactics, equipment, attitude, service chiefs, and approaches, we’d make some progress, I believe very strongly.”
Is there anything wrong with Mr President in changing the service chiefs when we all know that they didn’t perform to the expectation in terms of securing the country.
The president should give chance to the new ideas and mind to take the security to next level and allow them to right the wrong thins that occurs in the organization.
The architectural of our security is wrong right from the security chiefs, COAS was commissioned in 1983 as lieutenant and he ought to have gone since but president buhari still retain it till moment until necessary is done we will be having problem.
We need intelligent gathering in defeating all these banditry, bokoharam and kidnappers, if we could gather information on they are carried out their activities and how they operate the security challenges we are encountering will be a thing of past.
Hmmmmm!!!! This is long overdue and should be done immediately
The masses have asked for this for a very long time but the president is not acceding to it
The old service chiefs seems to have exhausted their tactics and strategies and no one person knows it all
We need new service chiefs
Buhari has no surprise in him o. Let’s stop wasting our time with it
Wether he changes them or not we will not be surprised again…. He is all watching why the country is falling apart as if that is how those before him govern before he became the president…..
