EndSARS: If you come out to protest violently, we have the power to use our fire arms – IGP Adamu
The Inspector-General of Police, Adamu Mohammed has warned against any form of violent Protest in the ongoing second wave of the EndSARS protests.
Speaking on Tuesday, December 8, at the Enugu state police command where he had gone to inspect the level of destruction recorded at the command after the peaceful EndSARS protest was hijacked by hoodlums, he warned that if any one has in mind to protest violently, police officials will not hesitate to take those involved with maximum force.
According to him, the law permits them to use fire arms in such situations.
He said;
“The violent protest has led to economic losses and social disorder. That is why we said that from the experience of the #EndSARS protest, never again in the history of this nation shall we allow such protest to take place. Never.
Anybody that wishes to come out or a group of people that wish to come out and protest peacefully, they are free to do that and they will be protected but if you have the mind of coming out to protest violently, we are going to use maximum force to take you out. The law allows us to do that. The law gives us the power to do that.
If you look at your constitution, section 33, it gives you power to take certain action by the use of the instrument you are given, the use of fire arms.”he said
It will be better if you can do that then you will see the consequences of your actions….
Why are you so much interested in the use of fire arms instead of trying to address the issues the people are raising
Why the rest of the world are moving forward, we are steadily drawing backwards
Shame on this government
I’m tired of this government behavior because they are just behaving as if they have the supreme power to do and undo.
Government needs to trend softly on the issue of protesting if they don’t want things to be worse than the present situation.
You don’t need to handle things with iron and instead of addressing the issues you are attacking the complainant, what you need now is to trend softly.
I will advise federal government to protect the real protesters and deal with the hoodlums Among them mercilessly because those hoodlums will create another chaos in the country.

The first wave of this protest that you people killed innocent protesters did they use any weapon to protest? You just wanna show that face of yours on social media.
