Court remands Maina in Kuje Correctional Centre
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja led by Justice Okon Abang has ordered the remand of Abdulrasheed Maina at Kuje Correctional Centre pending the conclusion of his trial.
At the resumed trial on Friday, the counsel representing Maina, Adaji Abel formally withdrew and the counsel engaged by Mr Maina asked for a short adjournment to enable him to study the facts of the case.
Justice Abang granted the application for adjournment on the ground that the defendant who is presumed innocent is entitled to legal representation.
The case was adjourned to the 8th of December for a continuation of trial.
This is a good decision by the judge so that he does not run away again
He should be there and answer to the charges leveled against him
That’s good of him, let’s see where is going to run to now and I hope he won’t escape justice.
Why is he on the run in the first instance? Once you an finish what you start then why did you start it?
Let the justice prevail because he has committed a huge Depth atrocities against the senior citizens of the country.
He must also face the consequences because he has killed so many people.
That is good decision…. And he should be punished for his wrongdoing…..
Better for him, people like this need to be thrown into jail forever
that’s good for him
Is not necessary to reminded him in prison now…you just go and kill him direct.
