The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar has won the national election in Akwa Ibom State. He secured 214,012 votes to defeat Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who polled 160,620 votes while Peter Obi, of the Labour Party, LP, won 132,683 votes. The Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, has defeated the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Lagos state. Though Tinubu won more local government areas, Obi defeated him with most of the votes. Obi polled 582,664, while Tinubu scored 541,850.
