Senator Abbo fined N50m for assaulting woman in a sex toy shop
A Federal Capital Territory High Court has ordered Senator Elisha Abbo, to pay N50m as compensation to Osimibibra Warmate for assaulting her at a sex toy shop in Abuja. Mr. Abbo is the lawmaker representing Adamawa North Senatorial at the National Assembly. In July 2020, a magistrate court in Zuba found the senator not guilty of criminal assault. However, Warmate proceeded to file a fundamental human right suit marked CV/2393/19 before the FCT High Court. Delivering judgment on Monday, the judge found Abbo guilty and ordered him to pay the sum to the young lady.

Edo Organised Labour rejects Strike Suspension by National Labour Leadership
The Edo State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has rejected the decision of the national leaders of the union to suspend the nationwide strike. Earlier today the labour union suspended the scheduled nationwide strike after reaching an agreement with the federal government. Gunmen abduct catholic priest for the second time in Delta State
Gunmen suspected to be herdsmen have abducted a Catholic priest in Delta state for the second time in four years Rev. Fr. Three policemen returning to Lagos after Edo election die in fatal car accident
Three policemen who participated in the September 19 governorship election in Edo state and were returning to Lagos have died in a fatal accident that occurred on the Benin-Ore Expressway in Ondo State. The deceased were returning back to their base alongside some of their other colleagues when the vehicle they were traveling in got involved in the accident. Nigerian artist accuses PH police of brutality, says he might go blind on his right eye
A Nigerian artist, Arinze Stanley has accused the police officers in Porthacourt of brutality. In a tweet he shared via his twitter handle, he said his first day in Porthacourt, on the 26th of September was the same day he was beaten by some police officers. NLC and FG reach agreement as strike is suspended (photos)
The Nigerian Labour Congress and the federal government have reached an agreement concerning the supposed strike. The NLC had fixed 28th of September for the commencement of strike over fuel increment and electricity tariff hike. The Labour union also announced negotiation meeting with the federal government.
