Kwara State Government to name stadium after Rashidi Yekini
Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has announced that the Kwara State Sports Complex will be renamed after the late Super Eagles legendary striker, Rashidi Yekini. WAEC conducts exams in Chibok six years after abduction of schoolgirls
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has conducted the 2020 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), in Chibok Local Government, Borno State, the first time since the abduction of over 200 schoolgirls in the area by Boko Haram insurgents, six years ago. Schools in the local government were closed by the Federal Government following the abduction of the girls from the Government Girls’ Secondary School Chibok on April 14, 2014. Fuel hike: Protesters arrested in Lagos
Some protesters have been arrested after taking to the streets of Lagos to speak against the increased fuel price. The protesters who held up placards which expressed how they felt towards the increased fuel price, began their march from the Nigeria Labour Congress House in Yaba, Lagos. A footballer in Osun State simply identified as Damilola, has died after he reportedly slumped during a football match in the Ido area of the state on Monday, September 7.
