Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has sworn-in an Igbo man, Prince Chidebelu Cornelius Ewuzie as the Special Adviser, Inter-Community Relations. The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sabo Nanono has disclosed that Nigeria is now Africa’s largest rice producer. Nigerians react as IGP creates SWAT as the replacement for SARS
Nigerians have reacted to creation of a new unit named Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, as replacement for the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). According to a statement from the Force Public Relations Officer DCP Frank Mba, it is expected that the unit will fill the gaps arising from the dissolution of the defunct SARS.
